The Creative Collaboration

Dear Equestrians is a collaborative coloring book illustrated by artist Nica Quinn. It features 33 contributors from around the world, each offering a portrait and a personal reflection about their relationship with horses. The collection highlights a more mindful, relationship-based approach to horsemanship while celebrating the diverse experiences of the people involved.

Heather’s Role in This Collaboration

Heather was invited to be part of this collaboration because of the way she sees horses as sentient partners rather than tools. Her work lives outside traditional horsemanship, centering relationship, consent, and emotional awareness for both horse and human. Her contribution to Dear Equestrians reflects her belief that the way we show up with horses can transform the way we show up in the rest of our lives.
